Farmers’ Markets are a great place to catch us playing some lively upbeat Irish and Scottish folk songs. This will be our first time playing the Staunton Market, Hope to see you there!
Join me and we’ll make the rafters roar at the Whiskey Jar in Charlottesville all night long! Filling in for the renowned Matthew O’Donnell we’ll sing for him in spirit!

Join Ryan and Cat Dunne along with special guest and author Kevin Donleavy for a jolly night of song and poetry composed and inspired by Scotland's most famous poet Robert Burns! The night shall feature all the spirit and fun of a traditional ‘Rabbie Burn’s Night’ just without the haggis!
As part of the Joyous Joyce’s Literary and Ethnomusicological Society’s ongoing effort of sharing musical history from around the world, the poems and songs will be provided with a brief historical context to bring deeper understanding and appreciation to the life and work of this farm boy turned poet and pioneer of the Romantic Movement.
Also being shared will be Ryan’s deeply moving and beautifully painted ‘Crankie’ puppet show entitled “The Foggy Dew” telling the tale of the 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin and the Scottish women that made it happen.

I will be performing in costume some of my favorite Victorian Parlour Songs at the Victorian Spring Fling in Staunton this April!
The Victorian Spring Fling shall be conducted in the Gardens of the Woodrow Wilson Presidential Library & Museum and incorporate the theme of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, published in 1865.
Included are Victorian Performers, Seasonal Treats, Games and Activities as well as a Downtown Staunton Egg Hunt throughout the day until 4 p.m.
Participation in games and activities is Free!
Due to growing concerns about travel and COVID-19 Piero’s and I have decided to cancel this event.
The King & Queen are once more come to their Winter Residence, beautiful Castle VanDerveer in wild Stanardshire in County Greene.
As is their royal custom, they open their doors and wine cellar to noble guests and traveling players to celebrate The Midwinter Feast Day of Saint...... What's-His-Name.
Are you a Noble Revelerworthy of rasing a goblet with Their Royal Majesties? Are you ready for a fully catered Feast in Middle Ages England, with plentiful Ale and Wine, minstrels and jugglers and players, and the finest companionship, all in one of the most delightful venues in Central Virginia?
Are you ready to garb up in Medieval, Renaissance, Tudor, LOTR, Fantasy, Pirate, Viking, Barbarian, or anything else that would mostly fit in with the occasion?
Are you ready to challenge The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog??
Of course you are!
So put aside your questing, raiding, crusading and courtly scheming, adorn yourself with that tunic, corset or wolf fur cloak, strap on those blades and axes, grab your favorite tankard, goblet, or drinking horn (we strongly recommend bringing your own drinking vessel), and prepare for a unique evening of entertainment and revelry. And do not forget your noble (or notorious) title, name, and story, for the King is well known for calling out all those who grace his feasting hall.
For those who staying at Court throughout the weekend (and local nobles), there will be our traditional screening of Monty Python and the Holy Grail on Friday evening (February 7, 2020) at 8 p.m. in the Zen Barn Cinema.

Catch a beautiful morning of Irish and Scottish songs at the Rockfish Valley Community Center.
Nelson Farmers Market Cooperative 8AM to 12PM. A producer-only market featuring live music, fresh local produce, baked goods, fresh cheese, meats & poultry, local honey, jams, fine crafts, plants, cut flowers and more.
In honor of the 103rd anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin, Ryan and Cat Dunne will be performing a set of thrilling songs and stories about the rising; including verse written by some of the leaders of the rising itself. This was the pivotal Irish rebellion that ultimately led to Ireland’s southern counties claiming their independence from England for the first time in 800 years.
Also being shown will be Ryan's commemorative crankie puppet show "The Foggy Dew" featuring shadow puppets and a 30 foot watercolor painting detailing the events of the rising.

We're excited for our second annual Medieval Feast on the 23rd! We're trying to get a head count for the caterer and entertainers. Optional Preparation - Give Your Character a Backstory
Costumes are required for this lively event! For those who'd like to take it a creative step further (not required) you're invited to create a back story for your character...who they are, where they came from, and any details you'd like to share. You'll have an opportunity to be in character and share their story. Have fun with it! Or, just show up and play it by ear. That part is optional. No pressure - you can just show up and enjoy other's stories.

A Medieval Feast for the Reveler in all of us, fully catered, with live entertainment and a cast of nobles, minstrels, jugglers, and other characters to keep you amused. The setting is the beautiful and rustic Sylvan Hall in Stanardshire, nestled in the Woode among the Hollers of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
The feast is the highlight of the White Lotus Medieval Weekend (contact your AirBnB host, David VanDerveer (434-960-7591) to arrange for one of our elegant and unique suites and cabins - click AirBnB White Lotus for more information. Rentals are blacked-out for this event - call David to open one up for you. Lodging is not necessary to attend the Feast. Rental fees do not include tickets to the Feast.)
Period garb is required (dark ages, medieval, renaissance, highlander, pirate, fantasy, foriegn traditional/folk... we're not picky) as is a general sense of jocularity and/or mischief. (Period appropriate weaponry is also welcome.) Beer and wine will be available, but if you would like to bring something special to drink and share with a few others- you are more than welcome to.

Saturday, January 20th, the first night of the winter BoxerWorld series at Salerno Pizzeria, Bar & Bistro in Downtown Lexington, VA! Get ready for performances from Ralston Hartness, Ryan Songbird, BlueNX, Disposed Kings, and bass DJ Will Kirchner with live projection mapping digital art by Zebulon Wolfe and live painting by visionary artist Luke Schroeder.
